Our Field Sales Team

As part of the Essilor Group network, we have a team of 8 dedicated account managers  on hand to support your practice through Leicester Optical. Each account manager has built up a vast amount of experience within the optics industry, and their knowledge of our products ensures that you will always receive the correct product for each dispensing situation.

Our management

Leicester Optical is managed by Stephen Pridmore.

"I started as a glazer in 1985 for a small independent lab in Carlisle. Three years later, I ventured in to the practice to start my career as an instore glazer. Over the next 2 years, I started to train with the Worshipful Company of Spectacle Makers. During this time, I started to take courses in management and this help me become the Branch Manager before I was 21 years old. I have been fortunate to have worked in the optical industry for over 30 Years. More than 12 years of my experience has been in practice. The experience I have gained working for several independent opticians and the multiples has given me a great understanding of the customer needs and what the daily challenges can be. Working for various lens castors has extended my lens manufacturing experience which complements my lens knowledge. This in turn allows me to support our customer service team and help customers with lens options. I think I have been fortunate to work with great people in all my previous roles and it’s a privilege to work with the great team here at Leicester Optical. The whole team is dedicated to providing the best service they can."

Charlotte Bishop is our Customer Services Manager.

"I started working part-time in the post room at Leicester Optical in 2000. I left in 2007 for three years to concentrate on my studies for a Business Diploma. I returned to Leicester Optical in 2011 and joined the customer service team. I progressed to team leader and eventually promoted to Customer Services Manager in Late 2017. My role covers all aspects of customer service and accounts. I work with a great team and I find my role challenging and very rewarding. I’m always learning new things and growing my knowledge of the vast range of lenses available from all the different suppliers.

Andrew Shepherd is our Production Manager.

"I started with the company in 2012 & started my adventure as one of the Delivery Drivers who serviced the local area’s as part of the Van run system. Over the last five years I slowly started to progress within various departments of the business which included Despatch, Glazing & then Order Entry/Customer Service. I was then fortunate to gain promotion to Production Manager which I really enjoy as everyday brings something different & challenging. I’m really looking forward to the future with Leicester optical as I feel exciting times are ahead. I’ve a fantastic production team & we all hope to continue our working relationships with you for the foreseeable future."
