Why choose a Nikon progressive lens?

The Nikon Progressive range combines the latest Japanese technology with our genuine commitment to optimising your vision and comfort to provide an unrivalled collection of progressive lenses.

Welcome to natural vision

'The world's first progressive lens with Aberration FilterT Surface Technology' This allows virtual removal of those visual constraints common to some conventional progressive designs. This innovative lens further enhances Nikon's reputation in spectacle lens technology. Most traditional progressive lenses display a varying degree of 'distortion' when worn. This can affect both the visual comfort and visual performance of the lenses. The Aberration FilterT of Presio W reduces the amount of this 'distortion' by up to 40% and means;

Thinner, Flatter, Lighter, Sharper
Nikon's expertise in optical design has been used to develop the Presio i range of progressive lenses. Conventional progressive lenses are often both quite difficult to adapt to and can only offer reasonable vision from distance through to reading. The interfaced aspheric designT of Presio i results in simultaneous provision of;

Quality, reliability and efficiency
Nikon understands that the needs of progressive lens wearers can be quite different, for example those with specific yet differing visual needs, usually determined by the actual prescription and how the wearer uses their spectacles.

'Quick Access Technology' is used to ensure a wide and easily accessible reading area without sacrificing distance sharpness. This design gives a balanced performance with almost elimination of 'distortion' allowing easy adaptation.

Incredibly sophisticated, uniquely specialized lens
Reliance on spectacles to give accurate and comfortable vision at all distances generally increases with age. Conventional progressive lenses, especially those of Nikon quality, will allow accurate, vision in all visual zones. Wearing spectacles is, though, more than just about clear vision. Long time use of intermediate and near vision requires specialized progressive lenses able to give wide vision in these areas and minimize the head and neck movement common with less specialized lenses.

Single vision lenses do not give any flexibility on viewing objects further away (up to 3 meters for Online) and progressive lenses are not specialized enough to give the width of vision required for comfortable vision.
