That's why we are able to offer opticians the widest possible selection of lenses, including ESSILOR, NIKON, ZEISS, HOYA, SOLA, A/O, KODAK, SHAMIR, BBGR and many others.

The trend for lightweight, flat lenses is already well established. Because this is what your customers now expect, we have invested in the latest computer technology and staff training to guarantee that our lenses are as flat, thin and cosmetically appealing as possible. There is no extra charge to you for this service. We are often able to supply you with prescriptions which other suppliers deem to be out of range.
You can speak to the boss when you need to
How frustrating is it when you deal with a large company that passes you from department to department - perhaps even from country to country? All you want is an answer to a problem solved quickly! Leicester Optical has staff who understand the issues faced by opticians and can help you straight away. And if you can't get the help you need - speak to the boss! Our three company directors are all very experienced in optics and take a full time role in day to day matters. We are always available to answer any questions you may have, and deal with your queries personally.
Fast Service
You may notice competitive prices and high quality - but your customers will often judge your performance based on speed. Our substantial stock of finished & semi-finished lenses means a high percentage of orders are despatched by return, including surfaced s/v, most bifocal types and progressives including transitions. Local customers can take advantage of our own delivery and collection service. If you are based outside of our local delivery area, our central location means we can offer an overnight delivery service nationwide via our dedicated courier service.
Quality assurance
One way to ensure that a customer never returns to you is to deliver poor quality lenses that cause problems. Leicester Optical take care in all aspects of production and send staff on specialist manufacturer training courses to ensure a high standard whichever member of the team is working on your lenses.

In fact, Leicester Optical have always been able to offer very competitive prices and a sensible pricing structure - without misleading built in discounts. The Team
MIKE KEILY - MANAGING DIRECTOR I left school in 1978 and went on to complete a five year apprenticeship as an optical technician with Batemans laboratories. I gained an SMC (tech) qualification in the process and have been a glazing technician ever since. In recent years I focus more of my time on the developement of the business but I still help out in glazing when necessary. Launched Leicester Optical in July 1992. |
TERESA KEILY - DIRECTOR AND COMPANY SECRETARY Teresa has been working with us since the beginning, previous to that, she gained valuable experience working for 2 years at Leicester Royal Infirmary's on site dispensing opticians practice, where at a very young age she dealt with more complex and unusual Rx's than you would normally see in many years. These days Teresa manages the day to day running of the business including quality control, customer service issues and accounts. During her 17 years with us we have allowed her a few days off to give birth to 4 children. |
RICHARD DODMAN - DIRECTOR With over 30 years experience Richard is in charge of a team of skilled glazing technicians. Richard has been with us since 2000 and became director in 2006. He also personally looks after all our rimless glazing orders. |
